AquaStop Plus leak protection
Every Thermador dishwasher includes AquaStop Plus — a multi-layer leak protection system. A sensor in the base pan detects water outside the wash tub and triggers an automatic shutoff and drain cycle. The supply hose includes a double-wall design with an electric shutoff valve at the tap connection. If the inner hose fails, the outer hose contains the water and the valve closes automatically.
Child lock
The child lock disables all control panel buttons to prevent accidental cycle changes or starts. Activation varies by model — typically press and hold a specific button combination for 3 seconds. The lock engages on the control panel only; it does not physically lock the door.
Door interlock
The wash cycle pauses immediately when the door is opened mid-cycle. The spray arms stop, the pump pauses, and the water level is maintained. Close the door to resume. This prevents hot water splashing and allows you to add a forgotten item.
Overflow protection
The float switch at the bottom of the tub monitors water level. If water exceeds the maximum level (E17 code), the inlet valve closes and the drain pump activates. This is separate from AquaStop — it protects against overfill from a stuck inlet valve.
