Oven error codes (F-series)
F1 — Sensor open circuit: Oven temp sensor wire broken or element failed. Do not use oven — risk of overheating.
F2 — Overtemperature: Safety critical — oven exceeded max temp. Door locks, heating shuts off. Turn off at breaker, wait to cool. Stuck relay, sensor, or cooling fan issue.
F3 — Sensor short circuit: Opposite of F1 — sensor reads near zero ohms. Same sensor replacement needed.
F5 — Door lock failure: Self-clean lock didn’t engage/disengage. Motor seized, latch bent, or switch fault.
F7 — Convection fan: Fan not spinning in convection mode. Motor, blade, or thermal fuse issue. Oven works in standard bake mode.
F9 — Steam generator (Pro Grand): Scale buildup, empty reservoir, or generator element failure. Descale or replace generator.
Cooktop error codes (E-series)
E1 — Ignition failure: Star Burner didn’t light. Clean ports, dry igniter, check gas supply.
E2 — Gas valve shutoff: Safety activated — gas pressure issue, valve failure, or repeated ignition failures. Call a technician.
When to call a technician
F2 (safety critical), E2 (gas safety), and F1/F3 (sensor — risk of uncontrolled heating) always require professional service. F5 can wait if you don’t need self-clean. F7 allows standard baking while awaiting repair.
