E1 — Temperature sensor fault
Freezer sensor reading out of range. May cause the compressor to run continuously or not at all. Check actual temperature with a standalone thermometer. Reset power — if E1 returns, sensor needs replacement.
E2 — Defrost heater failure
Auto-defrost cycle not completing. Frost will accumulate on the evaporator. Heater, bi-metal thermostat, or defrost board needs testing as a system. Manual defrost is a temporary solution.
E3 — Compressor start failure
Critical — the freezer will warm without active cooling. Clicking sound near the compressor indicates start relay failure. Move frozen items to another freezer. Professional sealed-system diagnosis required.
E4 — Evaporator fan failure
Cold air not circulating. Compressor runs but temperature is uneven. Fan motor or ice buildup on blade. If ice is present, a concurrent defrost issue likely caused it.
E5 — Door seal alarm
Door open too long or gasket not sealing. Check for items blocking the door. Paper-slip test the gasket. For panel-ready doors, verify the custom panel hasn’t shifted.
E6 — SuperFreeze malfunction
Rapid-freeze function won’t activate or won’t time out. Standard freezing continues normally. Control board timer circuit or thermistor issue. Non-urgent repair.
