Star Burner won’t ignite
Clean the burner ports with a pin or needle — the five-point star design has more ports that can clog with food debris. Dry the igniter area if the burner was recently cleaned with water. Try lighting another burner — if all burners fail, the gas supply or ignition module may be the issue. If the igniter glows but the burner doesn’t light, the igniter is weak (it needs to reach a specific temperature to open the gas valve).
ExtraLow not holding
ExtraLow simmer requires precise gas valve calibration. If the flame goes out at the lowest setting, the valve may need professional recalibration. Ensure the burner cap is properly seated — a misaligned cap disrupts the gas-air mixture.
Oven temperature inaccurate
Test with an oven thermometer placed in the center rack. Thermador ovens can be calibrated via the control panel — consult the manual for the calibration procedure. If the offset exceeds ±35°F, the temperature sensor may need replacement.
Convection fan noise
Some airflow noise is normal in convection mode. Grinding or rattling indicates a worn fan bearing or loose blade. Grease buildup on the fan blade causes imbalance — the fan cover inside the oven can be removed for cleaning.
