Sensor codes (E01, E02, E03)
E01 — Refrigerator sensor: Temperature sensor reading out of range. Causes: thermistor drift, broken wire, connector corrosion. The compressor may run continuously or not at all.
E02 — Freezer sensor: Same as E01 but for the freezer circuit. In dual-compressor models, only the freezer is affected.
E03 — Condenser fan: Fan not running, causing compressor overheating and reduced efficiency.
System codes (E05, E08, E10, E12)
E05 — Defrost failure: Frost accumulating on evaporator. Heater, thermostat, or defrost board issue. Manual defrost (unplug 24 hours) is temporary fix.
E08 — Evaporator fan: Cold air not circulating. Motor failure or ice buildup on blade.
E10 — Door alarm: Door open too long or switch not detecting closed position.
E12 — Ice maker: Harvest cycle failure — motor, fill tube, or thermostat issue.
Freedom Column code (E15)
E15 — Column sync: Communication failure between paired refrigerator and freezer columns. Reset both units; check communication cable. Each column cools independently even with E15 active.
