Temperature too warm
Check that the temperature setting hasn’t been changed accidentally. Verify the condenser coils are clean (accessible from the front on built-in models). Ensure the door gasket seals properly — use the paper-slip test (close the door on a dollar bill; if it slides out easily, the gasket needs replacement). Listen for the compressor — silence means it’s not running.
Ice maker not producing ice
Verify the water supply valve is open. Check if the fill tube is frozen — a hair dryer on low can thaw it. Ensure the ice bin isn’t overfull. Water filter replacement (every 6 months) is the most common fix for reduced ice production.
Freedom Column not syncing (E15)
Reset both columns by unplugging for 5 minutes. Check the communication cable between units — it connects at the back or side of each column. If E15 persists, the SideTouchControl panel or communication bus needs professional diagnosis. Note: each column cools independently even when communication is lost.
Unusual noises
Clicking: compressor start relay cycling — normal if occasional, problematic if constant. Buzzing: water inlet valve attempting to fill ice maker. Humming: condenser or evaporator fan running. Popping: thermal expansion of interior panels — normal.
