Induction zone not heating
First verify cookware compatibility — use the magnet test (a magnet should stick firmly to the pan bottom). Ensure the pan covers at least 60% of the zone area. Clean the glass surface — residue can interfere with pan detection. If compatible cookware isn’t detected, the zone’s induction coil or sensor may have failed.
Freedom Induction not detecting position
Remove everything from the cooktop surface, including trivets and spoon rests. Clean the surface with a dedicated induction cooktop cleaner (not regular glass cleaner). Place a single pan on the surface. If detection still fails, the sensor array matrix needs professional diagnosis.
Gas Star Burner won’t light
Clean the five-point ports with a pin. Dry the igniter if recently cleaned. Check that the burner cap is seated flush on the burner base — the star shape must align with the gas distribution ring.
Touch controls not responding
Clean the control area with a dry cloth — moisture and grease interfere with capacitive sensors. Ensure nothing is resting on the control area (a pot handle, cloth). Power cycle the cooktop at the breaker.
